Description: Silk is a very clean and simple, fully coded deviant art journal template.

Rules of use: There is no restrictions to it's use except that it must not be sold commercially for any reason, you may edit it, modify it, play with it, learn from it.

What you get: I have included not only the HTML and CSS code, but also the images just in case you wish to rehost them on your own server, your choice.

I hope people enjoy this skin, and that beginners may learn from it, and then go on to make their own in the future.

i thought it was about time i finally gave a free journal to ya'll, sure i could have added maad detail, but tis' free, the whoel i dea is to use it as a template and build on it ;) thanks for fave to sir :)

Wow, looks like a big departure from your normal skins.. I like it! :) Very clean and stylish, looks like the code would be simple so beginners could learn from it easily. :)

I've been looking a little bit at this and found that you don't need the super-wide header background image in your example.
It's enough with a 1 pix wide image like this: [link]
Just set background-repeat: repeat-x; for the background-image.
